While browsing PDN for some photojournalism inspiration, I found this article that just made my jaw drop. Apparently in September, the US government issued a ban on photographs of military personnel being killed in action. It seems the main reason the RC East (Regional Command East) placed this ban on photographers because of Associated Press distributing a photography of a mortally wounded American Marine in Afghanistan. However, on October 16th, the ban was reversed. PDN stated, "The change came as the Pentagon called the ban an “isolated incident” amid media scrutiny this week." Wow. Simply, wow.
I attend Gwinnett Technical College in Georgia, where I am studying Commercial Photography. I have an interest in all types of photography, but I love music photography, portrait photography and photojournalism. This blog is intended to represent my photography
